Its Summertime!

Its summertime and everybody is busy with all of the things that brings.  Vacations, yard work, fishing, yard work, swimming, yard work, picnics, yard work.   Well, you get the drift!

I have a new fun hobby though!  I am FINALLY showing dogs!  Yep!  Me!  My first show was Memorial Weekend and "Eve" and I had a great time!  My dog's registered name is Forevr Jaztyme Spirit of NewYearsEve.  She's a beautiful girl, born on, you guessed it, New Year's Eve in 2008.  She is just over 18 months old and just coming in to her full self.

I'm planning to try to make at least 1 show per month, more than that and it becomes a job and I don't want another job....I want this to be fun for both of us!  Our next show is in Sedalia, MO on July 9th.  Wish us luck!

The First...

Well, here goes!

It's December, Christmas.  I LOVE the Christmas Season!  Spending time with family without all of the hustle and bustle of our daily lives is special and important....savor it!
I am reminded of the special importance of this time.  Christ's birth.  The promise of new beginnings, great joy and the comfort of a loving God.

I'm busy wrapping presents and double checking all of my lists!  I'm not a big fan of wrapping but this year I went the "extra mile" and even made most of my own bows!  My Mom would be so proud of me.  I have to tell you, I "channeled" Mom the whole time!  Some of them even really look good!

My house is all decorated, inside and out!  Do you think 4 Christmas trees are enough?  I had help with 2 of them, Cooper and Sadie spent the day with me and helped decorate the tree in the dining room and the one in the foyer.  Cooper named the one in the foyer the "dog tree" because it has all the doggie ornaments, butterflies and jingle bells.  So much fun!  So far, the Paps have been good and haven't messed with any of them!  woohoo!

I will try to post pics of my trees and the house, just have to get some good shots first!

Ok, I think this is enough for my first blog post.

Merry Christmas!
